On 5th December, the 16th Citizens' Energy Forum will convene in Hungary, co-organized by the European Commission and the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority. This forum will engage NGOs, communities, youth, businesses, energy regulators, and policymakers to discuss ways to empower citizens in achieving a just energy transition.
The forum will spotlight best practices, recent policy advancements, and strategies to engage citizens through trusted intermediaries like public authorities, consumer groups, and energy communities. Interactive sessions will feature hands-on examples, breakout discussions, and live engagement through Sli.do for both onsite and online attendees.
Following last year’s focus on a consumer-centric energy system, this event will explore innovations that support an inclusive transition, with special attention to Central and Eastern Europe and carbon-intensive regions.
